This event was co-hosted by Matisse and Samsung at Matisse’s stunning showroom on The Strand, Parnell where guests were greeted with a refreshing glass of Akarua Brut.

The night started with an engaging introduction from the Lion Ambassadors team on the “Boilermaker”, where the ultimate in craft beer, Emerson’s 1812 Hoppy Pale Ale and Pilsner, was married with single malt whisky Cragganmore and Glenkinchie to create the classic drink that is a favourite among bartenders and high-end cocktail bars. This was a great start to the evening for Luxury Network Members and their guests.

Caroline, “design encyclopaedia” from Matisse, spoke of the many special designers they work with from all over the world and talked us through the latest B&B Italia range, including the Bend-Sofa designed by Patricia Urquiola that complements the curved Samsung TV perfectly—curved lines seem to be a common design theme this year. Milan based B&B Italia is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and has recently acquired Arclinea, the high-end kitchen maker, whose products are also available at Matisse.

It was inspiring to see how both Matisse and Samsung have used design and quality to take traditional items forward to a new level of luxury—creating fresh, high-quality classics of the future.
